Hey Everyone, I am writing today about the elder care network and the deficiencies that we discovered during this pandemic. I was hoping that we can come together to find solutions for our elders and their protection including adding new policies and procedures where warranted. Firstly, we should look at a redesign of our facilities to align with pandemic preparedness. We need to have viral filter screens placed on every vent and intake, we need to have more staff available in case of emergencies and we need to ensure a stable supply of medical goods to keep them and the staff safe. Perhaps we can look into new designs for elder care facilities to include a medical facility, pandemic meeting rooms as well as more amenities for the residents. Furthermore, we need to look into medical reserves, i've said it prior but I feel its importance cannot be overshadowed. Similarly to the army reserves you would train and employ medical nurses and doctors that when needed can be activated in an emergency. This way we will have a backup medical workforce in case of future pandemics or disasters. As such if we can review the above options in the hopes of upgrading our elder care network it would be greatly appreciated. Stay Safe, Stay Sanitized and Stay Supportive, John Ames Birch @johneames2
