In todays society a lack of affordable housing is causing an increase in homelessness on a daily basis. Each year inflation drives the cost of rentals higher while the earning index remains unchanged or inadequate to afford rentals in our society.

This is a direct cause of homelessness in our society and it must be rectified before more people fall to extreme poverty. 

Education and Employment are major factors that are increasing the homeless epidemic. Lack of higher paying jobs coupled with inequality of education have led to a void of skilled workers to fill jobs.

Therefore more people are working minimum wage jobs and unable to afford to live in our society. 

Disability is another factor that causes people to become homeless. While there are programs to help people with disabilities these afford the base minimum that does not account for the standard of living in this nation.

As such, at times disabled peoples become homeless while waiting for the program criteria to be met. 

Many times to escape an abusive situation people leave the dangerous situation and become homeless.

Many times while in the abusive situation there are precluded from working and as such have to start over completely. 

​

​

There are times where vulnerable individuals are unable to cope with the trauma our society has caused. These individuals oftentimes turn to substances as an "escape". 

​

They at times lose their jobs, homes and property as this disease overtakes their lives. They require specialized housing to help them on the road to sobriety when needed. 

In our society there are times where stress or circumstance can cause temporary issues for people and their mental health. 

​

In other instances there are more serious issues that arise that affect the overall life of the victim. Oftentimes these individuals are unable to hold a job or a place and as well require more specialized support from our communities.
