Values
The peoples of South Asia are varied and beautiful. They represent different aspects of our society and together they help to shape our world everyday in random acts of kindness and faith.

Loyalty
In South Asia, loyalty to ones family is a chief concern. Working together they create better futures for one another and those around them as they strive for cohesion as a family.

"The strength of a family, like the strength of an army, is in its loyalty to each other"
- Mario Puzo
Self-Sacrifice
Self- Sacrifice means giving of yourself to others. It can mean your time, love or compassion to help others weather the storm of adversity and atrocity.

“I have been astonished that men could die martyrs
for their religion--
I have shuddered at it,
I shudder no more.
I could be martyred for my religion.
Love is my religion
and I could die for that.
I could die for you.
My Creed is Love and you are its only tenet.”
― John Keats
Respect
Having respect for your elders and family helps to cultivate respect for all living things. To understand another's journey and to smooth out the cobblestones on which they walk to help future generations walk the path home.

“We are sun and moon, dear friend; we are sea and land. It is not our purpose to become each other; it is to recognize each other, to learn to see the other and honor him for what he is: each the other's opposite and complement.”
― Hermann Hesse, Narcissus and Goldmund
Compassion
Having compassion for oneself helps to cultivate compassion outwardly in your daily life. This allows you to bridge the gap between you and me to we. It is the way forward.

“The light of compassion opens the petals of the heart. When the petals of the heart unfold fragrance spreads across the valley.”
― Amit Ray
