The story talked about how Yukon didn't have the resources or manpower to return to school year full time. I was therefore thinking that perhaps we can split the students into two groups. Group A can attend school Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday morning while group B attends Wednesday aft, Thursday and Friday. They can reduce movement by keeping them in the same room if possible and having the teachers move rooms. Furthermore they can wear masks and clean their areas at the beginning and end of their days. These options might allow us to reduce the strain on the resources and still allow the students in class learning. Stay safe, stay sanitized and stay supportive, John Ames Birch @johneames2

I propose we start nationwide teleconferencing with online and email tutoring. Each student would call a bridge number to join the conference call while they follow along online to the course subject matter. Assignments can be completed and then emailed to the teacher for grading purposes which will not only help continue the education plan but allow students access to real time telecommunications to gain familiarity with the new digital age. This adaptation of education will allow us to not only help educate the students on the current pandemic news but allow both teacher and student to continue undeterred by this crisis. There are many telecom companies that offer call conference rooms for meetings and the teachers can contact the parents to ensure proper procedures and login credentials are sent to the parents email. This will also give the students an opportunity to learn programs such as email, skype, teleconferencing among other digital platforms they will need moving forward. Colleges and universities already have the digital infrastructure available to communicate lesson plans and grade papers digitally. This same paradigm can be repurposed for all students to allow parent, student and teacher a much needed distraction from the quarantine. Furthermore it would allow socialization as well as continued learning while we weather this storm. Telecom providers can offer access to each student perhaps we can even allow the school year to be completed from home. These local networks can also be used to allow us to communicate, news, events and correspond regardless of the circumstances this crisis finds us in. Using these local networks we can coordinate communities into isolation and sustainability procedures and ensure that everyone is provided with communication and connection while we wait. We can ensure that if something is needed it is safely and cleanly delivered to whom needs it. Communication during this time is paramount and together we can create a network to watch out for everyone. Stay Safe, Stay Sanitized and Stay Supportive. Have a Nice Day, John Ames Birch @johneames2
