Hello Everyone, I was thinking about the production slowdown and in turn the potential future needs, we should try and start home gardens for each family to grow in their backyards. Every city should have its own supply of fresh produce in case of crisis to ensure that if we are unable to get produce imported quickly we still have a reserve to fall back on. Given that each garden would be independent it would ensure no contamination and provide families with a steady source of produce for the rest of the year in case we are in need of more local supplies. These can be started without leaving the home just washing, drying and storing the seeds from the produce you already have in the home. Even from scraps you would normally throw into the compost like cabbage and lettuce bases as well as green pepper seeds etc. Then in the spring we can start the gardens and with minimal oversight they will provide ample supply in case it is ever needed in the future. Perhaps each city can turn skyscrapers into food gardens so year round produce is available and can offset national need in emergencies if required or feed the homeless. Ensuring that each step we take, we take together. Stay Safe, Stay Sanitized and Stay Supportive, John Ames Birch @johneames2
