Hey Everyone, I was reading a story about the doctors in Russia and how they are having a rise in essential worker infections and I was hoping we can come together and help them and any city or country facing a rise in cases at this time. Perhaps if we can look into their supply lines and see if we can assist getting the doctors more gear if they need it. I was also thinking we can organize and coordinate surrounding buildings into manufacturing centers as I mentioned in my earlier email about Medical Communities. This will allow the hospital to make gear onsite to bolster their supplies. Perhaps we can coordinate cloth shipments for use in non surgical masks for patients to help within hospitals. Furthermore we can also look into re-purposing 2Litre bottles for makeshift facemasks as well. Additionally, we can help coordinate worldwide resources with an international Pandemic alert system that will send requests for gear based on hospital admittance and worker count. This will allow you to manage gear and patient supply as well ensure your workers have backup cases in addition to their regular supplies. This can help you chart and project manufacturing need and local supply and allow you to institute measures to compensate for any shortage projected or current. We can also look into helping with any medical student certification or apprenticeships under current doctors to allow more people to support the doctors and nurses. You can ask if any are willing or able to support the doctors and nurses which allows them to get practical experience to complete their studies. You can send them with an abundance of supplies and they can work in the hospital or even help to manufacture gear in the surrounding areas. I would also have every patient wear a mask in the hospital to combat spread within hospital zones to limit any pathogen in the air. This will ensure that if someone is coughing it will be contained in the surgical mask to some degree. Finally, we should also look into coordinating sanitation shifts around the doctors and nurses to combat local spread through contact surfaces and institute personal tablets linked to the current system instead of paperwork or shared computers. This will allow each doctor to have their own chart for each patient and pull up the patients file from the system to send test requests and medication shipments to each area of the hospital without shared physical systems. This allows you to network the hospital, keep the doctors surface to virus ratio down and allow streamlined care to patients and efficiency for doctors and nurses. I would also extend the room around doctors and nurses common areas to keep the air free from droplets. Additionally, we might also want to look into coating regular clothes with super hydrophobic spray coatings to turn everyday clothes into protective equipment. Check with the WHO on the suitability of this but it might help combat transmission and bolster our medical supplies at the same time.
