Hey everyone, I was reading about the Muslim family that was killed by a terrorist attack in Ontario. This is a horrible tragedy and we have seen a rise in incidents of hate in recent days. This evil person is not a Canadian, they do not hold true the values that makes us Canadian. We represent collectively the entire world together in one nation and we stand proud in our diversity. Islamophobia is not Canada and we will not let these hateful people overshadow the true Canadian spirit. We believe in one another despite the adversity and we have shown our solidarity through this pandemic. It is now time to again stand proud in our diversity and stand with our Muslim brothers and sisters as we create a wave of change that will topple hate. We need religious tolerance classes and outreach programs that highlight diversity and its importance to who we are as Canadians. It is time to reaffirm the Canadian spirit for all Canadians and ensure everyone can safely walk down the street with their family. I feel we need to institute a diversity initiative to highlight bias personally and professionally and take action to prevent hateful acts before they happen. These acts of hate do not represent the heart of true Canadians so we must show the world who we are. Its time to rise Canada, rise against this tide of inhumanity that's eclipsing our good name and stand for what it means to be Canadian. Show the world and one another the beauty of belief and of solidarity. It's time to stand together in love to push back against this eclipse of hate.
