Protect Kim Gardner

I was reading in the news about a ST. Louis Circuit attorney who is under fire presently by her opponents who seek to overturn her election results.

Her progressive approach to legal jurisprudence appears to have invoked the ire of her detractors and now it appears that they are attempting to cancel the attorney. This tactic of harassment is not unknown to people of color, especially those in prominent positions.

I am wondering given that she was the first African-American to head the circuit attorneys office, if this attack upon her credibility is racism in disguise. I am not casting aspersions however this is a common occurrence witnessed by prominent people of color.

We need to ensure that people of color are protected in this dangerous landscape to ensure that we can progress together. Furthermore, we also need to ensure that others are not trying to hold back those people of color working to make a better world. Given that she was elected, we need to ensure that the will of the people is heard and respected so that our system of government, our democracy, can continue as it was meant to, for all of us.

I humbly ask that this matter be reviewed and if you feel the same, sign the petition below and reach out to your government representatives to state in a clear voice that we will defend our elections and elected representatives.
