Subject: Pandemic Fatigue (Opinion)
Hey Everyone,
I was reading the news about the lockdown protests occurring in some cities and people's fatigue with the pandemic measures.
I can understand your concerns as we are all feeling the effects of this pandemic but we cannot lose hope. All across the globe we are fighting this disease and in some places the infection rates are soaring.
We have come so far along this road to recovery and we cannot stop now. The measures we have taken are helping to combat the spread of this virus. Right now it's important that we set aside our frustrations and work together to fight this new wave of infections.
I know each of your stories are different and some have faced monumental difficulties because of this pandemic but we cannot give up. We are nearing the finish line and if we dont resolve this wave we will find ourselves in an uncontainable situation.
I know times have been tough and I am so proud of everyone for coming together to combat this threat to our very species. We have to continue walking this path until we have reached the end of this pandemic.
We have all sacrificed to see this through and if we do not see it through to its end then these sacrifices have been for nothing. Please I beg of everyone to sit and think dispassionately about how far we have come and where we still need to go. We are a team, one city, one society and one people and we can get through this time.
It's up to each if us to save one another by following the mandates of our medical professionals. The journey is nearly complete and soon we will return to better times as long as we continue forward.
Violence will not help us solve this virus or cure this pandemic only unity will see us through. I know you are all tired but we must be there for one another now more than ever as we brave this final push to curing this pandemic.
I believe in each of you, all you beautiful people and I know soon we can stand united in a better, healthier tomorrow. Dont give up hope.
Stay safe, stay sanitized and stay supportive,
John Ames Birch
