Hello Everyone, I am writing today as I read a story about the recent cross border shipment freezes on PPE as nations are scrambling to stockpile for the Pandemic. I was thinking that each nation should have a backup manufacturing plan to offset any inbound international orders. Perhaps with government and WHO oversight we can direct clothing companies to start making respirators and face shields in each province to coordinate shipment nationally based on need. Perhaps bottled water factories can be repurposed for plastic face shields or can at least coordinate delivery of plastic resources to be made into respirators or other PPE. Given that production is minimal at this time the raw materials can be repurposed or perhaps even recycled to be made into lifesaving PPE. Other sectors can coordinate for ventilators and we can then ensure the nation is stockpiled for any possible spike or cases. Our beer and alcohol manufacturers can help with providing the raw materials or even manufacturing Hand Sanitizer among other disinfectants. If we follow all WHO and government guidelines then the risk of viral transmission should be minimal. Following that we can then help coordinate with sister companies or international branches to help local hospitals overseas. If each person, industry and city works together we can not only protect this nation but help coordinate the protection of all nations. I humbly ask that if any industry has the ability to help please reach out to your local government representative so that we can coordinate our local response nationally while our government handles the national response locally. Ensuring that each province and territory helps one another and the nation recover sooner through communication, collaboration and conscience.
