Hey Everyone, I was thinking about the Liver and its ability to regrow itself after damage. In hospitals they take a piece of a donated liver and implant it in the recipient which then regrows to a fully healed organ. They also from my understanding take out damaged parts of the liver leaving the good tissue to regrow. This got me thinking about regenerative medicine and if we can enhance the other organs in the body. I was wondering if anyone has tried to inject liver cells into another organ to track its possible regenerative capabilities. Furthermore, if there have been studies to understand the regenerative properties of the liver perhaps we can look into gene editing of the organs to add the regenerative properties. This way we will be able to naturally regrow organs from healthy tissue to allow for more survivability in this regard. As such if we can review this with our medical community to determine feasibility it would be greatly appreciated. Stay Safe, Stay Sanitized and Stay Supportive, John Ames Birch @johneames2
