Hey Everyone,
I was reading a story about how Japan is seeing a surge in cases and they are concerned that their medical system will be unable to cope. Specifically, they are concerned with the lack of PPE supply and surge crowding at hospitals.
I was therefore wondering if anyone has any spare equipment or personnel that they can send to Japan to stem the tide of the outbreak. In addition, perhaps setting up overflow hospitals to accommodate any surge in the most populated cities might be a prudent measure. Some jurisdictions have also begun transferring patients to hospitals with less population to ensure more ICU capacity in harder hit locations.
Finally, if anyone has found any procedures that work best we should create an online medical dashboard for hospitals around the world to collaborate and communicate on patient care. Then if they find certain commonalities these finding can be shared with the WHO and world leadership in the hopes of helping with a vaccine.
I know things are tough right now but anything you can do to help Japan and other countries hard hit by this virus will save lives. Together we will endure this, together will overcome. Stand United.
Stay Safe, Stay Sanitized and Stay Supportive,
