This got me thinking about international procedures to help mitigate these issues. From my understanding if someone enters illegally they are detained and deported. Perhaps we should look into options for them and their home nation. If they are leaving due to violence or conflict then the deporting nation must ensure safety upon their return. If they are unable to return due to safety issues then the deporting nation would contact its international allies to seek alternate asylum options. We should also then work closely with the home nation to improve the quality of life in that nation to reduce illegal immigration from that home nation. Many times people flee to other nations to escape something and we can help to improve their home nation. Then they will be able to build a life for their family in their home nation instead of taking dangerous immigration paths. If a deporting nation sends them back to their home nation they would then help them along legal immigration paths. They would reach out their government to ensure safety and supply and then help them immigrate. This way they can still become part of the nation they dream of. Additionally, we should be reporting all illegal immigration to the United Nations so they can help the home nation improve their quality of life. If they see reports about mass exodus from a home nation they can work with that nation to improve it. This will allow the UN more intelligence on developing immigration patterns so they can help setup safe nations for people who cant return home. As such if we can review these options in the Hope's of creating an international immigration policy it would be greatly appreciated.
