Hey Everyone, I am writing to you today about a story that talked about how there is a shortage of goods due to the pandemic. The story indicated its because of supply shortages as well as a lack of ships to haul cargo. As such I was thinking of ways to help and given that cruise ships can haul cargo we should use them to help alleviate the shortage of cargo ships. They can run on a skeleton crew and haul cargo in their cargo bays to anywhere that it's needed. Furthermore, the story talked about supplies and the shortages we may face and I was looking at ways to mitigate these issues. Firstly, we should take stock of what shortages we might experience. Once we have compiled this list we should have teams to find alternatives or alternative supplies to ensure we have what is needed. I was reading that cars are one area in which production has stalled and they anticipate that we will have a shortage until late next year. As such perhaps we can look to refurbish older vehicles to combat this shortage in the interim. New industries can start that seek older nice model cars and refurbish them with industry standards. These can then be sold to the general public to combat this shortage. I was reading that Coffee will possibly increase in prices due to a frost that endangered crops as well as increased shipping prices. For this product we should start local greenhouse crops that will allow a domestic source to combat the rising costs. Furthermore, we can also look into alternative options for coffee like sweet potato coffee like they used to make during the depression, the requisite amount of caffeine can be added and this might help satiate coffee drinkers. The story also talked about the shortage of computer chips and the effect that's having worldwide. I was therefore wondering if anyone has thought about printing them from a printer that soders as well as builds so that we can build metallic objects like we do plastic ones. They also mentioned that jet fuel is also something that will be harder to find given the pandemic and shortages we are facing. As such I propose that we use a hybrid mix of jet fuel and bio fuel to ensure a better performance and to help ration the jet fuel supplies we need for the future. I was also reading that school supplies might be more expensive or harder to locate. As such I am hoping that we can come together to start a donation drive for school supplies that can be donated to your local school board. Then the school board can disseminate supplies for anyone in need. I was also reading that food is becoming scarce from some areas and therefore we need to look at local growing options to help. Perhaps we can start a local food drive to create a local market that our restaurants and stores can buy from. If we start indoor greenhouses in every city we will ensure more food security and less risk from outdoor crops damaged due to climate change. As such if we can review the above options in the hopes of resolving this supply crisis before it begins it would be greatly appreciated. Stay Safe, Stay Sanitized and Stay Supportive, John Ames Birch @johneames2
