Faith and Love

Hey Everyone,

I was reading about a kindergarten student who was asked to leave her school in Louisiana due to the fact that she had two same sex parents.

The school indicated that it needs to uphold its beliefs and that she was unable to attend due to her parents "Lifestyle choices".

I can indicate that which gender you love is not a biological imperative but a soul imperative. Who we are and love is discovered by us. We determine who we are based on life, experience, loss and love among other introspective moments.

This is not a choice, no one would choose to be hated, vilified or victimized by a population that has yet to identify itself and therefore is afraid of the identity of others. When did you choose to be straight? The answer i'm sure is the same as LGBTQ+ people, we were born this way.

Faith is about love, about looking past our own base impulses and imperatives and seeking to find who we really are. It has never been about judging another person for which gender they love or which gender their soul identifies as, regardless of biology.

Scriptures teach of the soul, a connection from us to God that transcends death and discrimination. Our soul is the culmination of this life, our experiences, our loves, our losses, our wins, our hopes and dreams and our fears. These moments of experience help us to define who we are in our souls and allows us to connect to the eternal spirit of creation.

In these moments where we discover ourselves we connect to God on a more profound level than anyone can imagine. When we live our truth, when we identify and live it openly that moment we choose to hold our head high regardless of what others say is a divine moment.

Discrimination by a faith proclamation is sacrilegious and offends not only God but everyone who believes in the Divine and the Soul. "We are not these bones, we are not this skin we are the soul that lives within."

Jesus came to teach us the value of the soul and the eternal nature of the spirit. They came to teach us the value of life and the experience of Love manifest in faith. If you promote hate or intolerance then you do not represent Jesus and should remove their name from your website, school and mouths as you do not represent them if you discriminate.

God is everything, everywhere all the time but the best representation that can be stated in the basest form is that God is Love. Love does not discriminate, love endures, love builds, protects, feeds, uplifts, educates and emboldens. These are the qualities of faith, these are the qualities that make us who we are and anything less than love within your walls is an offence to all that you stand for and all others who pray.

We need to uphold the values that all the prophets, messiahs, messengers, saints, apostles, clerics, shamans, pundits, gurus, lamas, tukus, imams, elders, cohens and bishops have tried to teach us. We must love to honor faith.

These moments where we put aside who we think we are and learn about who God knows us to be, are powerful moments. These moments of love transcend death and dishonor and bring us closer to God than any song or scripture. These words in our books from the Bible, the Quran, the Torah and the Vedas as well as all others are guides to love and faith. They show us the way towards the Divine and that we must walk the path of Love.

Together, the kingdoms of God await all who love when their journey is done. The only way we will find salvation is through love and faith. We must quiet those aspersions and assumptions about others and practice faith through Love. Do not fear the love of others as long as it's shared, respected and understood. As long as these three rules of love are followed each union is of God.

We do not celebrate ink on paper or the ceremony, these were created to honor the love between two people as two heartbeats become one. This union of love is sacrosanct and must be upheld by faith or else you are not faithful. Believe in Love and you will find home one day among the faithful and loving.

Together, we can change our world to honor faith through love. The rainbow reminds us that no matter the storm it will pass and in its wake light will return. Remember that God loves us all.

"Rights are just words without actions to defend them".
