Subject: Columbia Humanitarian Crisis (Opinion)

Hey everyone, I was reading a story that talked about student protestors who are concerned about the government, the lack of opportunity and school tuitions. The story also mentioned that dozens of protesters have died and this is increasing the situation to more violence on both sides. We need to help them restore order to the cities but at the same time we need to help them lobby for change. We all deserve equality of education which some areas still today lay unequal. We need to ensure that everyone has the same opportunities to learn and evolve as the rest of us. Education is the cornerstone of evolution and change and its sanctity must be upheld. We need to ensure that these students in Columbia and all across the globe have those opportunities. As such I am hoping that we can reach out to the people of Columbia to establish a humanitarian front. Furthermore if we can reach out to the government to help them enact the changes the people are demanding it will help quell the violence. To the people of Columbia who are protesting I say this. I understand and respect your need for change and I support peaceful protest. However, violence will never see your dream realized, violence only ends dreams. Please I beg of each of you to instead band together, pass laws, peacefully march and litigate so that your dreams of equality become a reality.
