Subject: Blood Donations (Opinion)
Hey Everyone,
I was reading a story how Brazil's supreme court has decided to allow LGBTQ+ donations which I feel is a fantastic decision.
I humbly think that we need more blood donations worldwide for emergencies and due to the nature of blood we need to have a regularly updated supply as it does expire. I think that everyone should be able to donate and we simply test each blood bag to ensure safety.
I also think after this has ended we start a home based program where nurses drive to homes and collect blood to make it easier for people to donate.
I was also thinking about blood testing and have an idea to use something similar to a diabetic test sample. This strip would have pockets with membranes dedicated to each antigen sequence or other indicator of the disease. The blood would flow down the channel of the strip and the blood cells would be drawn to the membrane if they carried the virus. If cells are detected in the channel that color would light up and you can check the disease markers in the blood.
Similar to a pregnancy test the colors would appear indicating what disease or other is found in the blood to ensure quick STD tests and blood tests for donations and people.
Stay Safe, Stay Sanitized and Stay Supportive,
