Hey everyone, I was reading a story that talked about Alberta's bee keepers and the fact their supply of new bees has been disrupted due to the pandemic. The story also talked about how many bees die over the winter months. I was therefore thinking of options to help this industry in Alberta. Perhaps we can look into trade concerns with certain food industry's to ensure they have the supplies needed for the coming year. If we can possibly look into options to help with agricultural trade it would be greatly appreciated. Furthermore, we need to look into ways to save the bee colonies over the winter. Perhaps we can look at bringing the bees inside in a barn enclosure or look at insulated bee boxes. These options might help reduce loss of colonies and allow them to rebound in the spring. As such if we can review these options in an effort to save the bees we will be helping this vital agricultural sector. Stay safe, stay sanitized and stay supportive, John Ames Birch @johneames2
