Hey Everyone,
I was reading a story that talked about how the hospitals in Alaska are becoming overwhelmed by the surge in cases. They are deciding when to enact triage protocols that prioritize people over survivability.
I was therefore looking at ways to help them weather this storm. I propose that we leverage our military and create triage overflow centres at military bases throughout Alaska. This way the hospital can ferry patients to other venues to allow for more people to be helped.
The military's doctors and nurses can be utilized to staff these overflow zones and can possibly use V-22 Ospreys to ferry people from remote locations to hospitals.
This will allow the hospital to continue providing excellent care without having to enact triage protocol where someone will die. As such if we can review these options with our military and see if we can help the residents of Alaska it would be greatly appreciated.
Stay Safe, Stay Sanitized and Stay Supportive,
