Hey Everyone, I am writing today to discuss the agriculture sector in Alaska as I had a few ideas to help them. During the winter months Alaska gets more snow then most places and therefore at times they are snowed in for long periods of time. As such I was thinking that perhaps in remote areas we have them supplied with MRE'S which are military, shelf stable food pouches. These are handy in an emergency and in my opinion might help save lives. I also started thinking about local production and agricultural options for Alaska in general and I propose the following: - Alaska implements a new agricultural drive to increase the food production over summer. -Implement indoor greenhouses and skyscraper farms to grow food year round. -Once harvested it can then be processed and preserved into MRE meals, sent to homeless shelters and to those less fortunate. Furthermore it can be sold in stores as local produce to help reduce costs locally. - These MRE meals will then be used for emergencies within the state but also used to increase revenue by selling MRE'S to the military and the world at large. This will not only help to boost the local food security within Alaska, it will create jobs in manufacturing and production, and it will allow the state to recoup costs by selling the MRE's once created. As such if we can review these options in the hopes of helping Alaska and other places it would be greatly appreciated. Stay Safe, Stay Sanitized and Stay Supportive, John Ames Birch @johneames2
