Hey Everyone, I am writing to you today to discuss the recent uptick in racist displays in football. In the news there are incidents after incidents of players being subjected to abuse and name calling while on the field. This is unacceptable in any circle. No matter the color of your skin you should not be subjected to abuse or mistreatment by fans of the game. Sport is inclusive, no matter your color, orientation, gender or nationality, it is open to everyone. When fans abuse or mistreat the players by shouting obscenities at players of color it brings down the entire sport with each word. I propose that any fan using obscenities should be removed from all games and stadiums for the season. If they then continue the abuse they are then prohibited from entering every stadium for life. They will therefore only be able to watch the games from their homes. We need to protect the people of color in our communities, cities and those on the field from racist and homophobic abuse. The integrity of the entire sport is questioned each time a racist fan is allowed to hate. We need to create a system that shows no tolerance to hate or abuse so that the next generation can understand that racism is wrong. As such, we should review these options in the hopes of saving the integrity of football so that future generations can enjoy it in peace.
