STATISTICS AND INFORMATION
Information about the peoples and challenges faced in South East Asia. Together we will bring lasting change to the peoples in South East Asia and resolve the problems that affect the beautiful hearts around the globe. As one people we will rise above adversity and triumph.
There are many issues facing South East Asia, from poverty to economic issues and crime. However, an organization dedicated to resolving the issues in South East Asia has risen to take the lead in the area, ASEAN or the Association of South East Asian nations takes a front seat in resolving issues plaguing the people and area. Together we will right the wrongs that affect them and us all, as we strive together towards a more perfect future for all of us no matter our distinction.
POVERTY
Poverty is a major factor for the 20,000 islands in the South East Asia Area. It is estimated that 15% of the population lives on less than $2 a day. This adds to food insecurity in the area and leads to further issues such as access to education and health problems faced by the peoples in South East Asia.

Currently, it is estimated that 230 million people in South East Asia are undernourished.
​
However, both the governments and private companies have made steps to resolve such concerns. Vietnam for example in the past 25 years went from one of the poorest economies to one of the fastest growing economies.
A multi-government association called First China-South Asia Cooperation Forum (CSACF) was created by China and others to tackle poverty in the area and has helped to create, cooperation between nations that historically may not have communicated in the past. Together they are working to improve conditions in the area.
The issues in South East Asia are varied and complex, they have resolved some issues plaguing the people over the years. However, inequality is rising as the wealth gap increases in the area. There have been some instances of political inequality for certain religious groups in the area leading to further disenfranchisement for the people there.

One issue facing South East Asian Workers is inequality abroad. I was reading about the plight of Filipino women who travel overseas for work. At times they are underpaid, underrepresented, and underappreciated in other nations and at times at home.

They face suspicion and supposition while they struggle to afford the basic necessities that we take for granted. Its time to spread awareness of the issues affecting South East Asian Women and ensure that women of color everywhere receive equal pay and equality of opportunity.

INEQUALITY
CRIME
Certain places in South East Asia suffer from crime and organized groups seeking to undermine the safety of the people and the next generation. Warlords have arisen in some places seeking to capitalize on the island network.
​
In some places there are organized militias, drug smugglers and landmines which can pose a problem from visitors. At times some of these organized groups would kidnap and ransom tourists.
​
Human Trafficking is also a major problem in the area given the island chains. These provide a landscape that promotes human trafficking and smuggling. Each year, in this area and around the planet, Human Traffickers ruin families and futures as Men, Women and Children are bought and sold by those who value coin over conscience. Slavery eclipses our world as evil men and women vie for superiority over others all the while proving the weakness of their characters.

Together, we will end Slavery across the South East Asia area and across every corner of the planet as we unite to set things right. We cannot fear the path towards liberty and justice for each step we take secures a better future for those that follow. Liberty and Justice for All!.

There are a number of environmental concerns facing the area including destruction of the coral reefs, air pollution, deforestation as well as endangered species conservation.
​
There are many organizations working towards resolving these issues and their governments have also adopted progressive steps towards fixing the local environment while the world works towards a carbon neutral stance.
​
Together we will save one another from environmental disaster and ensure prosperity through a green mindset. New innovations, inventions and inspirations are being created to ensure that the green future is not only profitable but progressive as well.
