Hey Everyone, I was thinking about bridges in earthquakes given the news recently and I wanted to see if they can be made safer. I was wondering if building them connected to a submerged or buried metal place to increase the surface area of the bridge. Similar to a tectonic plate but an artificial one, I'm wondering if this would help the vibrational stability of the bridge.
