Hey Everyone, I have been reading disturbing news articles that indicated people are being denied medical care due to their vaccination status. This vaccine passport system does not protect us and only infringes on our morality. We know this because the delta variant can still be caught and transmitted by vaccinated people and therefore separating them does no good. I believe in vaccines and know that we will endure through vaccines and mask use no matter your status. That being said, we cannot make unjust or illegal differences between vaccinated and unvaccinated people, this is discriminatory. Doctors have taken an oath to uphold the standards of the medical profession. This oath means that they need to treat every patient with respect and compassion and provide the same level of care no matter their distinction. This trend of denying medical care to unvaccinated individuals will lead to people's deaths at the hands of a discriminatory system that is in reality, state enforced segregation. If we allow physicians to pick and choose who they treat we will devalue our nation and its medical system. Furthermore, the universal declaration of human rights that was ratified by the worldwide community, guarantees security of the person, that includes medical care. As such this violates the universal declaration of human rights, the Bill of Rights and the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. This also violates the medical ethics standards as defined in the American Medical Association's code of conduct and their Canadian counterparts. Therefore, each physician who refuses to treat unvaccinated individuals is not only violating their industries code of conduct, the Canadian and American Bill of Rights but it also infringes upon international law. Therefore, Each physician that fails to uphold these standards must have a formal review in relation to their physician's license . I am therefore calling on the international community to uphold those standards in relation to human rights and this pandemic. All over the world we are seeing discrimination in the guise of public safety, this is not freedom, its fear.

Furthermore, I am charging each government that fails to prevent discrimination with breach of public trust. Failure to rectify this error could lead to constitutional arguments in the future as well as international reprisals. You are meant to uphold the morality and legality of our society and this state level discrimination must end as it fails to protect us. We cannot discriminate against people for their vaccination status as our entire society has been built to uphold the rights and freedoms our ancestors bled and died for. If we fail to honor their sacrifices by upholding the rights they fought for then we dishour them and ourselves each time. History will show this time as a moment of reckoning for the human race, will we devolve back into tyranny and oppression or will we rise together out of this dark night into the dawning of a new day? I guess that choice is up to each of you. Who are we as a people? Are we good? Are we noble?. How can we claim morality when we use fear to justify segregation and tyranny all due to someone's vaccination status. Segregation was wrong when it was done to separate people of color from society during apartheid and the civil rights movement. It was wrong when hitler used segregation and similar tactics to create the holocaust and its wrong to deny people their rights due to their vaccination status. Our society was built by individual rights. This vaccine system seeks to demolish those hard won rights by separating people into groups with different rights. People are losing businesses, jobs, medical care, paying more for goods and services and being prevented from going to certain establishments. This all harkens back to the holocaust and what was done to the Jewish and homosexual people and we must never let it happen again. I ask each of you to reflect on this last year and how far we have come as a people. Do not let fear chip away at our unity, do not let fear control your heart. Do not let the fear of the unknown destroy that beautiful future we have all worked so hard to achieve.
