Hey Everyone,
I was reading a story that talked about how Canadas procurement system is being reviewed to ensure that it aligns with our rights and dignities.
As such it got me thinking of a process to review this system and to help other nations tackle human trafficking and forced labor all over the world.
I was therefore thinking that we create a commission to review the companies that are part of the system and provide them with a grade based on rights violations and labor practices.
Once this system is in place we can then work with those companies and countries in an effort to improve their score. If their score continues to drop they are given a warning and then a new source is found for that product. We can even amend future trade agreements with this provision to ensure that the morality of our supply chain is under constant defense.
As such if we can review this matter to determine an international system of moral procurement it would be greatly appreciated.
Stay Safe, Stay Sanitized and Stay Supportive,
John Ames Birch
