Hey everyone, I was reading a story about how some are concerned about Casinos and social distancing during the Pandemic and afterwards. I was thinking that perhaps to combat this issue we launch and internal redesign of the Casinos to ensure more space for all involved. I have been in casinos and some can prohibit social distancing. To combat this perhaps we space out machines to allow people to sit feet apart with space for all rows and avenues to allow cross traffic enough room as well. Alternatively, I was thinking that there should be viral wipes at each station that the customer would use to disinfect their station after use each time. This would allow for better viral management on touch screens until we can figure out holographic displays that use light interruptions to denote commands. Basically they would shine lights in a grid formation and sensors would ping each time a certain light stream was impacted to give the sensors the coordinates of the interaction and the computer would adapt accordingly. Alternatively, as an immediate solution you can sell pointers the customer can use as an extension of their hand to press the buttons. Alternatively, if they use recycled air I would look into adding Viral filters to every vent and perhaps add viral sanitation to the air filtration system. In addition to the above, customers should wear gloves and masks until a vaccine has been developed and have teams of sanitation experts who sanitize the floor every hour. Finally, in relation to your world famous buffets, perhaps adding viral guards and assigning each customer a pair of biodegradable tongs that they can use instead of sharing tongs. With sneeze buffers and sanitation this should help reduce the risk of viral transmission but perhaps for the short term provide them menu options to the table. In relation to seating we need to ensure enough space for all customers, perhaps we can open up other dining rooms to space out customers and utilize reservations to avoid congestion and possible social distancing obstacles. I was also thinking for the communal traffic on the casino roads that you close down one lane if needed to allow more room for people to walk. Finally, each city should have dedicated sanitation workers to regularly sanitize every common area in the city, buttons, handles, doors. I would also try to implement automatic doors wherever possible and other sensor machines like hand soaps and sinks. Once our leaders and medical professionals have given the go ahead then we can perhaps implement these or similar options to help tourist cities combat the virus as they would be at greater risk of viral transmission. Additionally, you would want to institute viral tests to all visitors from their originating destinations to prevent cross state or cross country contamination. I think it would be prudent as well for tourist cities to open up Pandemic response centres to coordinate their actions, bolster hospitals and ensure accurate contact tracing in case of an outbreak. Perhaps even tourist wristbands that have GPS and can award you points for each attraction visited so that they can redeem it for buffets or prizes or even casino chits. This will allow them a scavenger hunt option as a fun tourist thing and allow for better contact tracing if they are in agreement. This would also help if they were ever in danger as they could use it to call police perhaps. There may be many other factors unique to each city but perhaps together with our leaders and medical professionals we can determine the best procedures for Tourist cities as they would require extra considerations moving forward.
